Water gun: concept art to Blender
A bicycle-mounted water squirter, explored first as concept art and then as a Blender animation. Compare the original design with the finished 3D visualization.
Starting point: the concept

Exterior concept; fit and function are untested.
The Blender animation
The product rotates through a full turn, revealing the turquoise shell, orange nozzle and controls, transparent reservoir, and mount around the bicycle bar. There is no audio. If playback fails, download the video or try again.
What was done
The concept sheet established the product’s shape, colours and key details from three viewpoints. Those visual ideas were translated into a Blender representation, with materials, lighting and a rotating presentation that make its form easier to understand.
Seeing the design in motion adds something the flat artwork cannot: a continuous view of how the body, reservoir and mounting parts relate as the angle changes.
What’s possible
A 3D visualization can become a practical tool for discussing a product before a physical prototype exists. The same approach can support:
- Comparing colours, finishes and proportions during design review.
- Creating product stills, rotating views and short launch videos.
- Explaining a design through close-ups, labelled features or exploded views.
These are possible next steps, not features demonstrated in this short film. Engineering, fit checks, functional testing and manufacturing preparation remain separate work.
